Knitted in the finest merino wool our Nottingham Trent Bridge Scarf takes its name from one of Nottingham’s most famous and much loved landmarks, Trent Bridge.
The design is inspired by the beautifully intricate ironwork that spans the Grade II listed bridge, constructed in 1868.
Alfred the Great’s Son, Edward the Elder erected the first bridge over the River Trent in Nottingham, thought to have been constructed on the site in 920.
Construction began on the second bridge known as Hethbeth Bridge in 1156. Two stone arches from this old bridge are still preserved on the south bank of the river. Yarn: 100% Fine Merino Wool. Size: 196 x 40cm.
